Title: "NetWare error 156 Occurred: INVALID PATH or NO MORE TRUSTEES"
Bulletin Date: 4/1/90 Revision 1.0
Category: App Sub-Category: Server
S/W Product: v3.0 NWMAC H/W Product:
Version Affected: 3.0
Operating System: NW v3.11 Rev:
System and Hardware:
Application: NetWare Control Center
Symptom: In the NCC, the message "NetWare error 156 occurred: INVALID
PATH or NO MORE TRUSTEES" displays.
Problem: This occurs only if files have been listed in an NCC window
and then deleted by the Finder, so that their names still
appear in the NCC window even though the files have been
deleted. If you select these deleted files and choose
Trustee Rights (Command-T), this message displays once for
each selected file name. You can dismiss the messages by
pressing Return; however, the NCC application might quit at
some point in this series of messages.
Solution or
Workaround: Don't leave NCC file lists open while large numbers of files
might be deleted.
